Civille developed a new Litter Prevention Strategy and Implementation Roadmap for Penrith City Council, based on the NSW EPA’s Litter Prevention framework.
The project included:
- Analysis of existing available information
- Stakeholder workshops
- Strategy development
- Roadmap development (using an EPA template)
- Monitoring plan development
- Presentations to senior staff, executive managers and Councillors to support adoption of the Strategy and endorsement of the Roadmap.
The Litter Prevention Strategy brought together teams across Council to plan renewed action on an issue of importance to the Penrith community.
In 2026, Penrith City Council secured a grant from the NSW EPA’s Litter Prevention Grants Program, to implement their Litter Prevention Roadmap.
